Green Wood Spoon Carving

This class is a green wood spoon class, meaning you will be carving wood that was freshly cut from a tree. The skills you learn here can be taken with you to make utensils anywhere that trees grow.

This course is an introduction to all things axe, knife and spoon. No previous experience required. We will spend the day producing mountains of woodchips, learning to use these three simple tools, and creating a spoon for you to take home and use. A perfect first step for an absorbing hobby, and a great introduction to the world of spoon carving and working with green wood. 

WOO is a non-profit, safe space for training underrepresented genders in our field. As such, enrollment is limited to women and gender non-conforming folks.
