Knowing how to accurately represent your creative vision via a detailed drawing allows you to prepare for and record your project ideas, and makes finalizing projects ideas easier and helps you feel like a fancy craftsperson!

This class will discuss drafting, i.e. creating a construction drawing. We will review a brief history of drafting, current best practices in creating drawings, and learn about multiple ways you can get your idea out of your head and on to paper, ranging from entry level napkin sketches to detailed drawing sets.

Lauren will provide an entry level look at how you can create a shop drawing to showcase the features of your idea or project. Attention will be paid to identifying common features of a construction document, developing vocabulary for construction documents and walking through the creation of a drawing from start to finish.

All skill levels welcome. No prerequisites. All you need is a computer and a good internet connection!
