We are excited to begin to welcome students and teachers back into our physical space! Health and safety have always been our priority at the woodshop, and we have created some new policies to ensure the safe and supportive learning environment that is at the heart of WOO's mission.
A Workshop of Our Own requires all participants to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 at least two weeks in advance of attending an in-person class or event. Proof of vaccination will be required upon registration for the class. If you cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons, you must provide a doctor's letter at registration, and a proof of a negative covid test dated within 72 hours before the class start date. Do not come to class if you are ill, or think you may be ill, regardless of vaccination status.
Masks must always be worn indoors by all shop occupants. When weather permits it, large doors in the space will be opened to increase air circulation, however masks must still be worn to keep everyone safe.
As the pandemic continues to evolve, conditions may change that lead to changes in our covid policy.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, we are expanding our cancellation policy to allow students to cancel at any time if you are experiencing symptoms or forced to quarantine.
Cancellations by a registered participant due to illness will be refunded in full, minus a 15% fee to cover our processing costs. Do not come to class if you are ill, or think you may be ill, regardless of vaccination status.
If WOO cancels a class due to covid concerns or public health requirements, students will be notified as soon as possible of the cancellation and receive a full refund.
If an instructor cannot attend their class for any reason, WOO reserves the right to substitute a teacher of similar experience and expertise. When possible, WOO will provide notice of any teacher substitution to all registered students as soon as possible in advance of the class but there may be instances when WOO will need to make a teacher substitution on the day of the class and no advance notice can be provided.
