Shop Monitor Info Session and Training

Are you interested in learning more about woodworking? How about caring for machines? What about mastering the art of the shop vac?

On Tuesday, July 16th WOO is hosting an information session and training for shop monitors! In this session we will:

Teach you the basic responsibilities of being a Shop Monitor at WOO

Train you to use Trello (our organizational software)

Watch a video about maintaining a shop environment and have drinks!

Does this commit me to signing up for a weekly shop monitor shift?

No! (But we would love it if you did!)

What do I get out of being a WOO Shop Monitor?

If you volunteer at WOO 12 hours per month (one 3 hr shift per week) you get access to Open Shop free of charge. You will also be given on the job training in machine care, various woodworking skills and be privy to all of the awesome projects going on at the shop.

What if I have never set foot in a shop before, can I still come?

Absolutely! If you can take out the trash, use a phone, and lock a door you can be a Shop Monitor!
